One Of Those Sleeps

I had had one of those sleeps

where when I awoke

I had to reintroduce myself to the world

Drag myself into nature, baby steps

delicate and without expectation

to once again

rise in love with lifes offerings

of indescribable cruelty and effortless artistry

To surrender

to bathe in the morning light and fill up with its otherworldly charges of mystery

to relinquish the longing of the heart

disturbances that serve no moment

To exhale within, follow the thought that leads solely to the heart

that allows itself to be swallowed whole by the enormity of love that suffers no ills

For it is

and will always be

without question
